Project Manager - SOL STRIVE Community Project
Salary:£24,960 per year (reduced pro-rata for part time working, i.e. £260 per week)
Contract: Temporary, 5 months, Part-time, Fixed-term from 12 August – 31 December 2024 (22 weeks)
Hours: 20 hours per week (weekend work occasionally expected and required)
Location: Leeds, with flexible working hours in hybrid mode

Strings of Life (SOL), a group with Christian belief, has been serving the BN(O) community since 2020 and has already engaged with over 500 people through webinars and social media.
We are now recruiting the Project Manager that will deliver the SOL STRIVE Community Project. The project aims to help BN(O)s reduce their barriers into employment and skills provision, as well as job-searching outcomes. Our project’s focus is to support individuals who are unemployed, economically inactive, or experiencing social exclusion.

About the role
As a PROJECT MANAGER in the Services Team, you will in-charge of the delivery of a range of activities under SOL STRIVE Community Project, including but not limited to English Skills for Employment, Digital Skills Workshops, Job Hunting Workshop, Mock Interviews, Sport-Up Buddies, Volunteer Club, Interest Groups and Tuesday Friendship Morning.
In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the Project. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Planning and promoting activities
- Coordinating and attending meetings with partners
- Recruiting tutors and participants
- Managing daily operations of programs and activities
- Documenting and reporting on project progress
- Completing participant profiles and Project Reports
- Maintaining financial expenditure records
About you
To be successful in this role you are preferred to have
- Experience of providing management in a busy event or project-based environment
- Excellent spoken and written skills to communicate effectively and confidently with a wide range of audiences (both in English and Cantonese)
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
- Experience of providing administrative support including general office duties and maintaining accurate records
- Strong IT skills and ability to utilise databases to process data effectively

Salary: £1,000 per month
Contract: Temporary, 9 months, Part-time, Fixed-term from 20 July 2023 – 19 April 2024 (9 months)
Hours: 23 hours per week (Some rota’d working to cover weekends and bank holidays over Christmas period)
Location: Leeds, with flexible working hours in hybrid mode

Our outreach efforts have focused on providing information on housing, healthcare, and education in Leeds, Wakefield, and Harrogate.
We are now recruiting the team that will deliver SOL START Community Project in 2023-2024. The project aims to help BN(O)s settle into their new life in the UK with happiness, prosperity, and a sense of belonging. It aims to support at least 1,000 BN(O)s throughout their settling journey in the UK.

About the role
As a PROJECT MANAGER in the Services Team you will in-charge the delivery of a range of activities under SOL START including but not limited to Buddy Program, English Classes, Seminars and Webinars, Christmas Party and Chinese New Year Celebrations.
In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact of the Project. You’ll have responsibility for planning and promotion of the activities, meetings with partners, tutor recruitment, day-to-day management of the programs and activities, as well as the documentation.
