曹子光牧師 Rev Benny Cho為建道神學院93年學士榮譽生和95道學碩士生﹐曾在中國佈道會香港九龍灣萬善堂牧會4年﹐97年前赴英國深造﹐主修舊約士師記。現在英國列斯(LEEDS)華人福音堂牧會。
曹子光牧師除了牧養本堂事工之外﹐也曾經被邀請負責其他地方的特別聚會﹐例如英國南部職青網絡團契、讀經營講員、英國南部復活節退修會專題講員、退修會講員、以及全歐華人教牧研討會的敬拜等等。另外﹐他也是Preston 華人教會的義務顧問牧師、北英倫餐飲團契義務顧問牧師和角聲使團英國號角(Herald) 的董事﹐是號角報紙的專欄作者和聖地團的團牧。而曹牧師也很樂意服侍其他地方的教會﹐經常到Sheffield, Oxford, Milton Keynes, Preston, Belfast等地方講道。
另外﹐曹牧師也熱愛寫作和音樂﹐除了早年為天道書樓翻譯了士師記註釋之外﹐也正忙於寫靈修導讀和研經書藉。音樂上﹐他閒時也會創作一些詩歌﹐作教會使用用途；同時﹐他亦翻譯很多近代的英文詩歌和印尼詩歌﹐在不同的互聯網上的詩歌和音樂網站都會找到他翻譯的作品﹐其中一首Our God 更被採納官方的粵語版﹐並且灌錄為CD發行。
Rev Pastor Benny Cho graduated from Alliance Bible Seminary with honours in 1993 and obtained a Master’s degree there in 1995. After serving at Evangelize China Fellowship Kowloon Bay Maan Shin Church for four years, he moved to the United Kingdom in 1997 for further study of the Book of Judges. He currently serves Leeds Chinese Gospel Church.
Besides serving churches, he has also been invited to other ministries. For example, he has served a Fellowship of Young Professionals in South England and has led camps and Bible studies. He is also a consultant pastor at Preston Chinese Christian Church, a consultant pastor at North England Catering Fellowship and on the board of Herald UK, a free Christian newspaper in the Chinese language. Pastor Cho has also spoken at many churches in cities such as Sheffield, Oxford, Milton Keynes, Preston, Belfast.
Pastor Cho has a passion for serving Chinese students and community work. He has been a judge at a student music competition in Hong Kong, a host for Chinese New Year celebrations, an organiser for community medical talks, and so on.
In addition, Pastor Cho also has a passion for writing and music. He has written a commentary on the Book of Judges for Tien Dao Publishing and is currently writing a devotional guide and other commentaries. In terms of music, Pastor Cho has translated and composed worship songs for use in church and beyond. Songs translated into Cantonese from English and Indonesian have been shared online and sung in churches. In particular, he has co-written a translation for Chris Tomlin’s Our God which was recognised officially and has been recorded on a published album.
