UK GDPR Update 28 June 2021

The United Kingdom withdrew from the European Union on 31 January 2020. However, the GDPR is still applied in domestic law as the UK GDPR but the UK will continue to regulate and review the framework independently.

On 28 June 2020, the European Union adopted an adequacy decision for the UK, ensuring the free flow of personal data between the two blocs for four-year period (until 27 June 2025). Beyond this, further review to follow.

We continue to comply with the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018).
